As the most indemand composer of film music, John Williams rarely assumes the task of arranger, but his unique relationship with Itzhak Perlman on Schindler's List resulted in his arranging seven of the thirteen selections on this album. The cinema has provided this century with some of its most memorable melodies, melodies that invite a wide variety of arrangements. Illustrating best how great movie music can stand alone on its own merits, Perlman and Williams have added their special touch to these cinematic gems.
